In what seemed like the first real competition for the Beers in 2007, the Beers came out somewhat flat in the first game. 11 runs were produced off 20 hits. Highlights included Phil Crosby hitting his second homerun of the season, as well as Chris Stemp and Ryan Reese going 3 for 4 in game 1.
The Beers turned their fortune around in the second game, producing 16 runs off of 19 hits. Sean Cusick was stellar at the plate, going 4 for 4 with an RBI and scoring 4 runs. With a chance of making softball history at every game, Chris Stemp blasted 3 homeruns and also reached base on a single. If you are doing the math at home, that is a 4.000 Slugging% for the game.
Once again, owners from around the league have petitioned Arlington County League Commissioner, Ed Robinson, for the testing of steroids. Chris Stemp was available for comment after the game.
“Obviously these guys don’t know the power of Under Armor and wrist bands. By the way, you can pick up Under Armor on sale at Sports Authority. We must protect this house. I also wanted to take this opportunity to thank Under Armor for sponsoring me this season.”
