The Beers started off in typical 6:30 game fashion… 8 players in the field, their starting pitcher no where to be seen. It was a rough start for the Beers as back-up pitcher Jon Rojas (who is off the 1 week DL stint due to his eye surgery) could not find the plate. Even after back-up to the back-up pitcher Matt Rowley came in, the Beers found themselves down 7-0.
You have to hand it to the Beers however, as they dug themselves out of a hole and found themselves tied 12-12 in the bottom of the last inning. With the top of their lineup up, they were confident they were going to produce at least 1 run. This wasn’t the case however, as Chris Macomber singled to start the inning. 1B Jon Rojas grounded into a fielder choice, SS Chris Stemp lined out to the third basemen and RF Ryan Reese popped up to right on an attempt to drive the ball to opposite field. The game ended an a tie at 12-12 due to time restrictions.
The second game turned out to be just as ugly for the Beers. They were plagued with errors and fly outs all game and lost 13-10.
